- Our most important goal is to protect France against foreign and domestic enemies. Anyone that seems like a threat to us should be executed.
- King Louis XVI was considered a traitor to France and was later convicted by a single vote and sentenced to death on January 21,1793

- After the execution of King Louis XVI, Robespierre was viewed as incorruptible (trustworthy) and quickly rose to power.

- On August 1793, the Jacobins, a radical revolutionary group led by Robespierre, created the Committee of Public safety to be responsible for protecting France from foreign invasion and internal rebellion.

- Finally, the bloodshed is over.
- 300,000 people were arrested and 17,000 were executed (The nobles, clergy, peasants, and the innocents)

- On November 3,1793 De Gouges who wrote the Declaration of Women's rights was condemned as a counter-revolutionary and denounced as an "unnatural" woman.
- Women should have the same rights as the men. I do not believe that I did anything WRONG!
- Fearing their own lives, people rebel against the committee of Public Safety, and in 1794, Robespierre was executed.
- No!! I did any of it for the safety of our country. You guys can't do this to me.
