  • Elena, I'm going to teach you how to fill up the car.
  • How do you open it?
  • First you have to open the pocket. 
  • Are you observing?
  • What does the pump do dad?
  • Then you have to grab the pump and place it inside the whole.
  • The pump transfers gas into the car.
  • Elena's dad decided that is was finally time to teach his daughter Elena how to fill the car with gas. Elena was being an active learner because she was willing to be a participant.
  • Yes I do, can I do it next time?
  • Do you understand how to fill the car with gas now?
  • Yes, but I'm going ti watch you.
  • The dad is showing his daughter how to open the pocket on the side of the car. Elena ask a question and is being an observer by watching her dad. The dad is being a random teacher because he is teaching her how to open something.
  • After the dad shows Elena how to open the pocket, he shows how to put the pump in correctly into the pocket. Elena was being a visual learner by watching her dad grab the pump and ask him another informative question. 
  • When the dad is done showing Elena how to fill the gas with car, he makes sure Elena paid attention and knows how to it for next time. Elena understood the process and felt so empowered, she asked her dad if she can fill the car next time.
