  • Medication is one of the best practices in treating schizophrenia. The medication taken, anti psychotic drugs, help to dampen the drastic affects of hallucinations and delusions. It may take time to kick in but it rarely malfunctions. There are some side affects but it is still a great treatment.
  • How is therapy going?
  • It is going great. My therapist is teaching me how to handle this. He is also doing great activities that are helping with preventing episodes. I feel like I can express my emotions without hurting the ones I love.
  • Therapy is also a great practice and goes well with medication. Psychological treatment helps you live with schizophrenia and have the best possible quality of life. For psychological treatment to work well, you need a good working relationship with your doctor or other therapist. It is a great treatment if you are feeling down and depressed. You can discuss your feeling with your therapist and express deep down emotions. Letting go of this stuff will help to maintain a happy and healthy life.
