Storyboard Text

  • The man is looking out the window, a slow zoom-in over-the-shoulder shot that starts long but zooms in slowly.#160; Soft, mysterious music plays in the background as we are introduced to the setting.
  • We then get a wide-angled shot of what he sees out of the rear window. We get some dialogue of in the mind narration explaining his voyeurism and why he does it. We can also hear the rain hitting the window and street to add to the scene.
  • We have a longer shot looking at the couple described in the story. The dialogue is focused on the narration of what he sees and when looking at the couple we can't hear anything taking place in the apartment.
  • Another long shot through the window is where we see this forlorn mother sitting near her baby in its crib.#160; Again with the narration but no sound is heard from within the apartment itself.#160;
  • We actually get a good wide-angled shot from outside slowly panning away from the small window that you cannot see into (couldn't find a good scene image). There will be the noise of a few birds chirping that we see fly by the scene, but mainly the narrator explaining the foreshortening of the small window.
  • We get a good establishing shot of the building that the narrator is in and describing in this scene. Paints the overall picture of our main setting and what the environment looks like. Not much action, but the camera will slowly pan away establishing the whole building with some soft music playing after the narrator finishes speaking and we progress into the next scene.
