- During World War 1, not many weapons were used. It was mostly rifles and artillery that were the main weapons they used. They also had knives and used flare guns to send up signals.
- Soldiers had to carry a lot of equipment with them while they traveled so they could be prepared. They carried knives, helmets, water canteens, extra ammo, and food. All these things were needed for a soldier to survive.
- Since they didn't have phones back then, commanders would have to send messengers to go deliver important letters or just to communicate with other groups.
- Trenches were a very important thing for wars. They were used for cover, sleeping, and having medical attention. Without these you wouldn't last long in a battle.
- There were not many vehicles of transportation during WW1 besides planes that were usually used for air raids, and big army buses that were used to transport soldiers.
- When soldiers either had to march to a trench or commander, they would have to set up camp somewhere to sleep. It would usually be by a river where they can wash off and drink or somewhere in the woods for cover.
