- Variation is showed because there are dark blue bats and neon green bats.
- In this case, the dark blue bats blend in better during the night than the neon green bats do.
- The hawk is now starting to appear, but hasn't ate any bats yet. Because of this, it is better to be a blue bat because they can blend in better and won't get eaten as much as green bats will.
- In this case, the hawk has started to hunt the bats, and 2 green bats were hunted versus only 1 being hunted for blue bats.
- Because of the trait of color, dark blue is beneficial to this type of bat during the night, because it can blend in and not get eaten as much by the hawk.
- Over time, the blue bats survived better and were able to reproduce. The green bats did not thrive as well because they could not inherit the trait to help them blend in the night sky.
