- Every year in Panem, a post-apocalyptic country that used to be North America, they make a game called The Hunger Games. Everyone must sign at the age of 12 until 18, they can sign as many times as they want. They select a male and female, the selection of the players is random. This year they selected Prim, Katniss's sister. Katniss decided to volunteer for her. The male tribute is Peeta.

- After some time being in the Capitol and training, the tributes had to show their skills. The people that watch them are going to rank them from 1 to 12. Katniss decided to show them her main ability, the bow. She didn't do that well so she lost the people's attention. She got mad and shoot an arrow at an apple in the mouth of a pig, which was between the people that rank them. Thanks to that she got an 11.

- The Hunger Games officially started the 24 tributes are all on a platform, if they step down before time they explode. There are weapons, food, medicines, and more in the middle, but going there is risky. Katniss decides to go anyways, she is attacked but survives. Now she has an empty water bottle, a knife, a sleeping bag, and a rope.
- 3...2...1..GO!
- The Hunger Games are almost over, but they decided to add a new rule, if two tributes from the same district are alive they can win. Katniss was alive and she knew that Peeta too, so she went to look for him. She found him, but he wasn't too well. The sponsors gave them soup. Then they announce that they were going to give some stuff that tributes needed. Katniss wanted to go but Peeta didn't want her to do that. She decides to go, she fights and gets back with Peeta to give him the medicine
- It's the finale, all the other tributes die, except from Katniss, Peeta, and another guy. The three of them are in the Cornucopia fighting. The guy is choking Peeta, but Peeta points at the guy's hand and Katniss shoots an arrow at the guy's hand. The guy falls and is eaten by modified dogs. It seems like Peeta and Katniss won The Hunger Games.
- The rule of the two winners is removed, so Katniss decides that they are going to eat poison barries so there's no winner. Before they do it they announce that they don't have to do that because they are both the winners of The Hunger Games. The theme of the story is here. The theme is that you should stand up for what you believe no matter the consequences.
