  • We are here to buy New Orleans and Florida for $10 million dollars!
  • We will take it!!
  • Well... How would you feel about buying ALL of Louisiana for $15 million!!
  • Stephen F. Austin bringing settlers to Texas
  • Come to Texas!! We have good land and fertile soil. Also, you can own slaves here!
  • Wow!! Fertile soil is awesome for cotton!!

  • We have moved Westward so many times, we do not want to do it again!!!
  • From the perspective of the US, The Louisiana Purchase was significant because it gave the US more power in materials and strategy. From the perspective of Napoleon, The Louisiana purchase was significant because it gave him money for land he no longer wanted.
  • Declaration of War with Mexico
  • We must declare war with Mexico!!!

  • Yes!! We deserve our independence!!
  • From the perspective of Stephen F. Austin, brining settlers to Texas was significant because it led to a constitution and helped colonize Texas. From the perspective of the settlers, Texas independence was significant because it let them settle in land that would benefit their lives and let them be able to own slaves.
  • Oregon Treaty
  • This is my proposal... I think that we should extend the 49th parallel border all the way to the Pacific Ocean
  • From the perspective of the Cherokee, The Trail of Tears was significant because it left Indigenous people defeated and disrespected, and it led to conflict between the US and the Indigenous people. From the US perspective, The Trail of Tears was significant because it helped the US move into land that they believed they were meant to live in.

  • We defeated the seventh Cavalry and defeated Custer!! Woohoo!!
  • From the perspective of Texas, War with Mexico was significant because it gave Texas the opportunity to join the US, and to avoid the rise of Santa Anna, which helped them gain power. From the perspective of US, War with Mexico was significant because it gave them more land, but also caused further controversy with Mexico.
  • From the US perspective, the Oregon treaty was significant because it fulfilled Manifest Destiny and represented the fight and importance of westward expansion for the US. From the perspective of Britain, the Oregon treaty was significant because it left certain land for Britain, but also let them have a peaceful interaction with the US.

  • From the perspective of American Indians, Indian Removal was significant because it showed how they would not let white settlers take them away from their home and culture. From the perspective of white settlers, Indian Removal was significant because it gave them the opportunity to move further into land in the west, which helped them continue to grow in power.
