  • You may know Sally ride but, some of her accomplishments are remarkable. Like her being the first american women to fly in space!
  • Sally ride was born on May 26, 1951.She grew up in Los Angeles, California, U.S. This is where Sally grew up.
  • Sally was the first american woman to fly in space. She made two shuttle flights, and later became a champion for science education and a role model for generations.
  • Ride was selected as a candidate for NASA’s astronaut program in the same year she received her Ph.D. in astrophysics. from stanford university.
  • As an employee at NASA, Sally's accomplishments need to be remembered because they made a big advancement in NASA. In 2003, Sally Ride was officially a part of the astronaut hall of fame. The astronaut hall of fame honors astronauts who put in hard work to accomplish great things like sally.
