- .1757So he bribes Siraj-ud-daulah's military commander - Mir Jafar to kill the nawab and betray him so that he could win the battle.
- 1757Robert Clive wanted a puppet king , and siraj-ud-daulah , the nawab of bengal would not be manipulated by his request.
- 1757Robert Clive demanded a battle and the Nawab accepted. The date was fixed on 22 June ,1757.
- 1757Clive knew that he would lose the battle with only 3000 soldiers while Siraj-ud-daulah had 50,000 soldiers with 40 canons and 10 war elephants.
- I have only 3000 soldiers...I would definitely lose the battle..I should think of something else.....

- 1757Clive was a cruel man ..he was furious at his commander for not preparing the ships.
- 1757The battle was fought from 22nd to 23rd June and the British had taken over Bengal as Mir Jafar's treaty with them.
