- Today's my basketball tryouts so I really need to practice in order to make the team!
- I learned about the Newton's First Law at school which will definitely help me do better!
- Basketball is so fun! I can't wait to learn how to shoot!

- The Newtons First law is that an object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.
- The basketball resting on the court floor will remain at rest unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.

- When the ball is shot into the air by the player it will remain in motion with constant speed and direction.
- Unless acted on by an unbalanced force such as the backboard
- Johnny has truly improved at basketball after understanding the laws of Newton.
