- Congress is given the power to lay and collect taxes from the people and the states. This is important because the states would not collect taxes if the federal government was not given that power.
- Power to create and manage national parks
- This gives the federal government the power to make and maintain a federal currency. This is important because then the nation will have one national currency that is also regulated by the government so no states will have their own currency.
- Power to raise, support, and regulate an air force
- This gives the government the power to declare war against another nation. This is important because then states are not allowed to go to war against other nations.
- Power to prohibit discrimination in restaurants, hotels, and other public places
- ABSOLUTELY NO DISCRIMINATION IN MY RESTAURANT

- This gives Congress the power to preserve parts of wildlife from people and businesses. This is important because it allows for our nation to have preserved places that are not under any businesses control. That way these lands can stay the same way for as long as the government wants them to.

- yeah, they keep us safe from poachers and other bad people
- This gives Congress the power to maintain a national Air Force. This is important because then our skies are protected from other nations' attacks.
