  • Dishonest
  • You are not open with me. You saw her with a crowd you said.
  • Spare me!You forget,  you forget nothin and forgive nothin! Learn charity woman I have gone tiptoe in this house ball seven month since she is gone I have not moved from there.
  • Frusterated
  • John if I were not Abigail you must go to hurt, would you falter me now? I think not.
  • You will not judge me more, Elizabeth. I have good reason to think before I judge fraud on Abigail, and I will think on it. Let you look to your own improvement before you go to judge your husband anymore. I have forgot Abigail. I will have your supisions no more.
  • Anxious and upset.
  • I think you should confess John.
  • I cannot mount the gibbet like a saint. It is fraud. I am not that man. My honesty is broke, Elizabeth. I am no good man. Nothing's spoiled by giving this lie that were rotten before.

  • At the beginning of the story Proctor is not that open with his wife.
  • Angry and protective
  • Good evening Mr. Proctor to you. I have a warrent for your wife. A neddle be found in a poppet you are accused of owning. Abigail were stabbed tonight; a neddle were found in her belly.
  • Mr. Proctor, this morning your wife send me a claim in which she states she is  pregnant now. There be no sign of it - we have examined her body.
  • Proctor is getting frusterated over Elizabeth questioning on and on about what he is hiding since he is also upset himself it seems.
  • Worried and furious.
  • But if she say she is pregnant she must be! In her life sir, she has never lied. There are that cannot sing, and them that cannot wheep - my wife cannot lie. I have paid to much to learn it.
  • Proctor is nervous to confess because he knows either way he'll die and he is mad at himself and the choices he's made.
  • Scared and with a little passion 
  • I hear you been tortured. I want you living John. I think you should confess. Do as you will.
  • You are a - marvel Elizabeth . Spite only keeps me silent.  It is hard not to give a lie to dogs. I would have your forgiveness Elizabeth.
  • Proctor has been slowly realizing he was wrong and truly does love Elizabeth and now that hale walks in stating she was accused by Abigail who still wants Proctor to be hers he doesn't wan't Elizabeth to be taken and is fighting to save her.
  • I not give my wife to vengeance. Out with you!
  • Proctor wants Elizabeth alive so he's trying to prove to Danforth she really is pregnant because if she is she is safe from hanging for the time being.
  • Proctor is happy to see Elizabeth but knows from how he's been being tortured and is invested with the court too now and wont't confess. He knows he will probably die and is quite nervous so he tells Elizabeth the love and he feels for her with his regrets and sorries.
