- I'm very grumpy and horrible but I'm really powerful.
- Hi, I'm Alena, your tour guide throughout Russian History! This grumpy man is called Ivan the Terrible. He was the first Tsar (Emperor) of Russia and although he wasn't a very nice man, Muscovy (the early Russian empire) grew 270 times bigger than when it was founded in 1300!
- We slave all day, toiling for people that we hate while they laze and feast on our income
- If we do not work, we will get killed so hush Martin.
- The Tsars took over lots and lots of other people's land, land that belonged to people from different ethnic backgrounds and the poorer farming communities, people were not happy about this.
- How about it darling? Russia joining in the War, sounds tremendous!
- Nicholas II was Tsar in World War One. Russia was on the side of the Allies: UK, France and Others.

- However, while the Russian soldiers were away fighting, the country suffered devastating poverty.
- I'm so cold!
- Everyone will be equal under the rule of the Bolshevicks!
- In 1917, the peasants revolted against the Tsars and Nicholas II, and the Bolshevik party came to power led by Lenin. The Bolsheviks were Communists meaning they thought everyone, no matter was race, what and status what occupation were equal.
- In 1922, the USSR was founded. USSR stands for Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. The USSR was a treaty signed by countries such as Ukraine and Belarus which meant that they were under Russia's control. Many people did not agree with this.
