Storyboard Text

  • "What shall I say first? What shall I keep until the end?  The gods have tried me in a thousand ways. But first my name: let that be known to you, and if I pull away from pitiless death,  friendship will bind us, though my land lies far.  I am Laertes' son, Odysseus.
  • "only offering the sweet Lotus to our friends— but those who ate this honeyed plant, the Lotus, never cared to report, nor to return: they longed to stay forever, browsing on that native bloom, forgetful of their homeland."
  • We soon later came across the Island of the cyclops!
  • "We must search this island to see if the cyclops, are truly friend, or foe."
  • Literary Devices: "If I pull away from pitiless death" "they longed to stay forever" ""I would not heed them in my glorying spirit, but let my anger flare"
  • "I would not heed them in my glorying spirit, but let my anger flare and yelled:  'Cyclops,    if ever mortal man inquire  how you were put to shame and blinded, tell him  Odysseus, raider of cities, took your eye:  Laertes' son, whose home's on Ithaca!"
