- By July 1775, colonists asked the king to restore peace however the king rejected their petitions.

- Congress did not have money to provide the Army with supplies such as blankets, shoes, food, guns, and ammunition.

- The Treaty of Paris has officially ended the Revolutionary War.
- The British refused to be part of the painting because they did not want to appear in painting that showed Americans as their equals.
