John Quincy Adams was the son of the previous President John Adams. He was the 6th U.S President and He was born in Massachusetts. He spent most of his life in Europe, where his father served as a diplomat. He ran for the 1824 election and won the presidency.
Andrew Jackson was the 7th president of the United States. He grew up very poor, and was an orphan be age 14, so he grew up as a "common man." When he grew up, he was in the US army, and was an American war hero by invading Florida. He then went into the running for president for the 1824 election, and didn't get elected. He was called "Old Hickory" because he was so tough.
Henry Clay was born in Hanover, Virginia in 1777. he was chosen as Speaker of house in 1811. Along with president James Madison, he led the US into war in 1812 against Britain. In 1824, Henry Clay finished with the 4th most electoral votes in the multi-candidate presidential election. After the election President Adams appointed clay with the most prestigious position of secretary of state
