- George, America is such a beautiful country with a great economy! How did it become what it is today?

- Well you see the American Economy was built and is run by the people of the country, which is what we call a market economy.
- This store here like your house is private property, they could do what ever they want with it as long is it follows any laws or regulations and is paid for.
- Although they could whatever they want, they're trying to make a profit off selling goods so they are going to want welcome and please you.
- Ohhh so my favorite brand of teddy bear is teddezRus and when I buy one I'm helping them beat their competition!
- In the store you can see different brands of the same teddy bear. The relation between the brands is a competition so each brand is a competitor with each other.
- EXACTLY!
- But isn't competition bad?
- Not at all! Competition is healthy and is what keeps companies from charging super high prices
- At the end of the day it is everyone's Freedom of choice to spend there money on whatever goods or services they want and need.
- Freedom is what makes America great!
