- mamma im so sorry, i did bad on my test and i knew i was such a bad kid so, i flushed it down the toilet so you wouldn't see. im so sorry...
- in the 3rd stage Erik Erickson describes children as they learn guilt v.s initiative , by planning activities and sports it teaches kids those skills. Children who fail to understand may feel guilt and become to fear the idea of trying new things. They will take it was there own failure and have a sense of im bad , but kids with initiative will realize mistakes happen and you just need to try again.
- as you could see in the first scenario of sally's mom asking her about the bathroom, she got worked up and felt guilt, she did not take initiative and tell her mom the truth instead she lied.
- but in the second comic after her mom asks, yes she still feels guilt but she took the initiative to be honest with her mother and tell her the full truth as to why and what she did.
