- Architecture
- In the Hellenistic age, the architecture was a lot larger, and more elaborate than it once was. Not only this, but architecture style was blended between all the cultures, resulting in buildings all looking similar throughout the areas, with some differences.
- Culture
- During the Hellenistic time period, lots of cultural blending, or cultural diffusion, had happened, and therefore the culture was a great blend between Macedonia, Greece, Persia and Egypt. This had resulted in lots of golden jewelry with gems entering Greek areas, and vases with paint on them entering Persian areas.
- Alexander the Great
- Alexander the Great was a conqueror of the western world, born in Macedonia. Aristotle taught him about culture, so he had enjoyed the topic. Once he had conquered the world, he realized all the cultures were great. Realizing he blended them all together, creating the Hellenistic age.
- During the Hellenistic age, women had more rights. Due to this, women entered education more, some even becoming philosophers and participating in governmental jobs.
- Lots of mathematical and scientific advancements were made in the Hellenistic age, such as the Pythagorean theorem being invented, and the push and pulley being invented with principles of physics, which was crated by a famous scientist named Archimedes.
- The physician Hippocrates created the Hippocratic Oath, which is still used today, and he also studied illnesses and searched for cures to said illnesses.
