  • My temple will be a house of prayer; but you have turned it into a den of thieves
  • On Monday, Jesus clears the Temple. When Jesus arrives at the temple he finds it full of money changers and merchants. He drove out all who sold and bought in the temple and overturned the tables and seats. While clearing the temple he says," My temple will be a house of prayer; but you have turned it into a den of thieves."
  • On Tuesday, Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. There he gave the Olivet Discourse, an elaborate prophecy about the destruction of Jerusalem and the End of the Age. He spoke in parables, using symbolic language about the end times as well as His Second Coming and the final judgement. His Disciples listened and asked questions about Jerusalem and the destruction of the temple.
  • Jesus washes the feet of his Disciples. He poured water into a basin and began to wash his Disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him. "Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet. I have set you an example that you should do, as I have done for you."
  • Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.
  • Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. He asked his Disciples to sit and pray with him and not give into temptation. After praying his first prayer he found the Disciples sleeping. He left to pray a second time and once he finished his second prayer he turned to them and their eyes were heavy with sleep. Twice, Jesus had to wake them and remind them to pray so that they would not fall into temptation. He then prayed a third time and told his Disciples to wake since the one who betrayed him is near.
  • Jesus Is crucified. After his long journey carrying the cross, he was finally nailed to the cross and crucified. Crowds gathered to watch and mourn his death. Before his death, Jesus spoke his last words saying, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit". At the ninth hour (3 p.m.) Jesus took his last breath and died.
  • On Sunday, Jesus had resurrected. Women had gone to the tomb and saw the large stone was moved from the entrance. They saw Jesus was no longer in the tomb and an angel announced, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay."
