  • He later Volunteered in the French and Indian war where he gained fighting experience.
  • After the French and Indian war ended, Ethan formed the Green Mountain Boys to protest and protect the colonist's rights from the British Government.
  • After the American Revolution broke out Ethan joined forces with Benedict Arnold and they planned an attack on fort Ticonderoga, a British fort.
  • They decided to row across Lake Champlain at night and Launch a surprise attack.
