The flower waits in the field for the hummingbird to come and help pollinate.
The hummingbird lands on the flower to eat some nectar and pollen from the anther sticks to the hummingbird's wing.
The hummingbird travels from one flower to another to get more nectar and the pollen from the first flower brushes onto the stigma.
The pollen grain will travel down the pollen tube, located inside the style, and find an ovule, which is located in the ovary.
The sperm from the pollen will start fertilization and fertilize both the egg and the polar nuclei. The surrounding ovary can turn into fruit and be spread around the world.
The process starts over but with more flowers to choose from. The stamen from the flowers will produce pollen.
