This picture shows how caring Lynn is. Katie throws a milk bottle at it and when it missed and spilled everywhere the dog went to drink it. She gets worried about the dog cutting his teeth on the glass so she shooed it away. Even though the dog was about to hurt her, she didnt want it to be hurt.
"Be careful!"
In this scene it shows Katie's innocence. She hears her parent groaning and moaning while trying to have a baby and is confused. She thinks that they are building the baby and it is hard work.
"Shhhh, Quiet down girls, your mother is drinking tea."
Katie is balling because she cant find Bera Bera. Bera Bera is her doll that she loves more than anything. She loses it when they move to Iowa. Her dad ends up finding Bera Bera later on.
"I could teach you girls how to spit like a master,"
Katie and Lynn's mom is very delicate. She is very pale and scepitcal about life. When Katie is running down a couple stairs, her mom is worried about her. Even though she is careful, she just doesn't want her kids to get hurt.
Katie and Lynn's father is very kind to his wife. He loves her very much and they have a very good relationship. He tells the kids to be quiet while she is drinking tea so that she can have peace and quiet.
The uncle is very obnoxious. He spits and chews tabacco all the time. But he cares a lot for his grandkids. Katie and Lynn arent allowed to spit and he is joking around with them. He may be annoying sometimes but he is very caring.
