- A man called MacCartney vist china for britain trying to propose a trade route. He didnt know about the traditions and made a bad impresion
- we would like to impose a trade route from britain to china
- Britain where mad at china for not accepting there trade routes. So they decide to start shiping opium into china. Opium is a highly addictive drug many chinese where addicted to at the time. Britain made a lot of profit of this but china was NOT happy.
