- Old Major tells the animals about his dream and the rebellion
- Attack!
- Old Major dies. Napoleon, Squealer and Snowball take command of the animals. The animals kick Mr. Jones out.
- The animals start working harder and the pigs become their supervisors.
- Snowball proves to be an excellent tactician.
- Snowball says that it would be a good idea to build a windmill. Napoleon disagrees. Napoleon sends dogs to chase Snowball.
