  • Introduction
  • Narration
  • Son this book just isn't appropriate.
  • Conformation- Novel
  • Book banning occurs when a book is restricted by the government or any other authority. The question is how does book banning affect students and how does it impact their learning?
  • Confirmation- Research
  • It's not uncommon for a teacher to assign a book for his/her class to read. However some parents may disagree with the contents of a book chosen. This may cause them to "ban" their child from reading it possibly causing a bad grade for the student.
  • Resolution
  • The Book Thief takes place when books were getting banned and burned, and a girl named Liesel steals them. I think banning all the books they did affected their education a lot because what do you do in school? Read books and study them, they were a big part of school.
  • Conclusion
  • When you think about it, books are used a lot in school. If they are banned it can limited a student's learning. Yes, a teacher or a student can't help that a parent doesn't want their child to read a certain book, but it can definitely affect their education.
  • Book banning can affect a student’s education by preventing them from doing their work. If a parent “bans” their child from reading a book for school, the child may not tell the teacher in fear of getting made fun of by the other students thus causing them to fail the class
  • In conclusion, teachers should send home papers to parents making sure that it’s okay that their child reads a certain book.
