The strong and mighty Beowulf vowed that he would eliminate the sin stained Grendel. He boasts about how his youth was filled with glory and declared that he would purge the evil in the mead hall.
The massive hall door creaked as the blood thirsty Grendel opens it. He strikes his first victim but is over powered by Beowulf. Beowulf defeats Grendel, ripping his arm off with a pop, making him flee back to his lair in the darkness.
Beowulf fearlessly descended to the depths of the dark murky lake to find Grendel's vengeful mother. Grendel's mother brought him to her lair to fight him. Beowulf's sword fails to pierce her skin but he notices a sword crafted by the giants on the wall. He uses it to cut her head off and takes the hilt of the sword, along with Grendel's head. He brought them back with him to the surface and back to Hrothgar's castle.
