- the group of girls are dancing and doing whaat people called them doing, witchery, so as called voodoo. They did harmless spells for the person they liked but abigails spell was different.
- hale started to try to bring out people that did the witchery crafts, he wanted people to try to confess to the evil stuff that were done in the woods.
- john proctor wants abigail to confess the truth that witchery is fake, and all they were doing in the woods was all harmless
- The inability of Proctor and his allies to sway the court and stop the corruption and Proctor's subsequent moral dilemma over whether to save his life or be sacrificed
- Proctor recants and rips up his confession. In doing so, he is signing his death warrant, but preserving the good names of his friends, and exposing the hypocrisy of the witch hunts.
- the setting took place in Salem, Massachusetts
