- After Cephalus died, Cognidubnus' slave handed the king a letter written by Cephalus himself
- King Cognidubnus, you are in great danger. Memor is insane. He wants you dead. He orders me to carry out the affair. I was reluctant to obey Memor. Perhaps you do not trust me, but I want to tell you about the whole affair.
