- In Baja California, it's Scoot's 14th birthday and she wants to go sailing with Sully. Meanwhile, there is a rouge wave slowly but surely making its way toward The sea dog. The rogue wave was formed from a violent storm in Australia.
- It was sunny and bright a perfect day to go sailing while Scoot was in the galley of the boat listening to music with the doors closed making sandwiches Sully was distracted by some birds than when Sully looked behind him there was a 48-foot rogue wave he tried to shout to Scoot then he held the wheel as hard as he could before the boat flipped over.
- While Sully was thrown off the boat Scoot was trapped in the galley where she hit her head twice one against a bulkhead and another one of the steps to the companionway Sully desperately banged on the hull of the boat to see if Scoot was still alive knocked out cold Scoot could not hear Sully's pounding on the hull Sully then tried to open the door with no luck.
- oil leaked into the water splashing onto Scoot's face Scoot woke up some time later feeling around and found out the boat had flipped upside down she felt around and found a knife and tapped on the hull to let Sully knows she was still alive Scoot then searched for a flashlight as Sully was telling Scoot to get out though the skylight even though Scoot could not hear him Scoot remembered where the flashlight is and used it to find the toolbox near the companionway.
- After finding the toolbox Scoot found a wench and remembered where the skylight was in the boat she took a lot of deep breathes after unscrewing all the bolts on the skylight she tried to open the skylight but had to go to the surface for some air then with all her strength she pushed the skylight out and swam to the surface as fast as she could .
- As Scoot made it to the surface she was greeted by Sully who was glad she was alive they stayed on the boat's hull till morning where they were rescued by The red rooster a competitive fishing boat when they were asked what happened Sully told them "rogue wave".
