- Hi there! My name is Trisha from section Kalumpit. Today I ask my friend plant how plant can make their own food and oxygen for us.
- Ow hi|! ahm what you are talking about is called photosynthesis. Plants use sunlight to make food. So first the chloroplast goes on the hunt for sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide
- Hi sunflower my friend! I just wanna ask how plant can make their own food and oxygen for us cuz that's our lesson.
- After all that, the sunlight is captured by the chloroplast, sunlight then enters the thin plant leaf. Then the sunlight is stored in the chlorophyll located in the chloroplast.
- What happens next?
- The Stomata which is surrounded by two guard cells to regulate the opening and closing of it open and capture the carbon dioxide...
- Then after that, water and nutrients goes from the roots up the XYLEM. We will talk about the phloem next.
- Wow! Just proceed!
- Actually now. So the chloroplast in the leaf will take the sunlight, water, and CO2 to make glucose, also knows as sugar. So it will travel through the Phloem which conducts it to other parts of the plant.
- So when will Phloem come in?
- We make oxygen and food for other living beings. That's PHOTOSYNTHESIS for you.
