- On page 54 lines 20-50 it states that her grandma couldn't stay because she wasn't a citizen.

- On page 60 it states that , She was not a citizen there was no way she could pass the citizenship test or speaking or speak enough English to prove her loyalty.

- On page 63 it says, Mom and Dad help me, I am dying . I am Hmong and I am your daughter and I am dying in the room besides yours.
- On page 64 lines 400-420 is says that her grandma gave her a elephant bracelet.
