- Anneliese Marie ‘Anne’ Frank is a thirteen year old Jewish girl living in Amsterdam, German occupied Holland during World War II. She got her diary as a birthday gift, she writes all her thoughts and experiences in her friend "kitty".
- As persecutions against the Jewish population increased, the family went into hiding in July 1942 in hidden rooms in her father Otto Frank’soffice building.
