Its 1784 in New York. Alexander Hamilton is pondering whether he should argue that the U.S. should pay back money borrowed from other countries and teh money from war debts they have.
My name is Alexander Hamilton and I am the secretary of the treasury. I work and try to solve the nations problems.
I'll think about it...
I think the United States should pay back money borrowed from other countries and from American citizens.
If you vote for my plan I will support putting the new capital in the South. I will put the new capital between Virgina and Maryland.
I agree with you and I think that's a good idea Alexander.
Can we start a National Bank? I think it would be a good idea for our country and economy.
I'm going to propose and introduce a tariff that would help protect American products.
By 1790 Alexander Hamilton had paid back bonds with the war debts, created the Bank of United States, introduced a protective tariff to help US companies, and supported putting the nation's capital in the South.
I did a marvelous job if I do say so myself.
