The increase of temperatures are causing more natural disasters like storms, heat waves, floods, and droughts worse. A warmer climate can hold and release more water, causing wet areas to get even wetter and dry areas to become drier. These changes in weather patterns are causing more extreme events to occur.
If global warming continues it can seriously harm ecosystems and lead to the extinction of variety of species. A good example of this is the melting of polar ice caps caused by increasing temperatures. As the ice caps continue to melt, the polar bears' natural homes are being destroyed . If this continues, it could eventually wipe out polar bears species completely.
