Storyboard Text

  • mom is at home on a sunny summer day, swimming in the pool doing laps and she takes a breather and releases carbon dioxide
  • that carbon dioxide molecule then makes its way to the lettuce plant they use that CO2 released while mom was swimming to perform photosynthesis taking in the CO2 and water, the plant then releases that oxygen for us to breath! storing energy in glucose molecules. those molecules are then transported to the mitochondria and are used for fuel. the chloroplasts then store light energy used in photosynthesis!
  • mom will tell me to pick the lettuce from the garden while i do that i breath in the oxygen the plant released ill then bring the lettuce to my mom just for her to make huge salad that the whole family has to eat before getting dessert!
  • while i was trying to rush to eat this huge salad i realized that through cellular respiration my cells took in the oxygen molecule that my mom breathed out! cellular respiration is either aerobic or anaerobic meaning with or without oxygen, aerobic cellular respiration just happened because i breathed in oxygen which means it happened in the mitochondria. when glucose reacts with the oxygen it forms atp used by the cell.
  • you have to eat the whole salad before getting dessert.
  • i remember learning about fermentation in biology class and realized a example of fermentation is cheese and that was in the salad! fermentation is when sugars are being broken down by enzymes of microorganisms like fungi and bacteria when oxygen isn't there.
  • after finally finishing the slaad the whole fam went to get ice cream and they had a good night!!!!
