- Keanu's Father (Samuel Nowlin Reeves, Jr.) left his family when Keanu was young, and was arrested for selling heroin at Hilo Airport in Hawaii.
- Keanu's mother moved his family to Sydney, then New York, before settling in Toronto after she divorced Samuel.
- Keanu became a brilliant hockey player in school, until he dropped out and decided to pursue his dream of being an actor.
- Keanu traveled to Hollywood at 15 on his own from Toronto to pursue his dreams in acting.
- Keanu's first movie he starred in was Youngblood in 1986 playing Heaver
