- lennie and George are migrant workers at a farm. They want to save money to buy a house.

- Curleys Wife was in the barn talking to Lennie and George about hows shes lonely. Curley came in the barn mad at her for being in there.
- Resolution
- Lennie and Curley got into a fight and Lennie broke Curleys hand. Curley made a deal to not tell his dad (the boss) about what happened.
- Literary device
- Curleys wife and Lennie were talking. Curleys wife told Lennie to brush her hair. Lennie accidentally snapped her neck and killed her.
- Lennie ran away because Curley is out to kill him. Lennie ran away to the spot where George told him to go if he ever got in trouble.
- George found Lennie, he told him everything will alright. George shot Lennie with a gun.
