Let's go Doodle!
When Doodle began to crawl they brought him into the front bedroom on the rug in front of the fireplace. Brother noticed that Doodle did everything backwards, even crawling. When crawling backwards he looked like a Doodle-bug so his brother started calling him Doodle. His mom and dad thought that this was a better name than William Armstrong so they renamed him Doodle.
Doodles mom, dad, and brother sat at the dinning room table watching Doodle through the open door. Doodle was singing ans song and burying the Scarlet Ibis that had just died in their front yard. To me this scene shows that even though he has disabilities Doodle still has a loving warm heart.
After running off and leaving his brother in the rain the narrator turned around to go get his brother. He saw him laying there and told him they needed to go. When Doodle does not respond he goes over there and shakes him crying out but Doodle does not wake
