- If we can show that Blutos is in fact an idiot, will you promise not to hurt my brother?

- Charlie reappeared on the other side of the park in the 21st Century, Tilda thought just a few seconds had passed. He was panicked and told her the doorway worked, all in the journal was real, he then forced her to pass to the other side, and a Roman soldier was waiting for them.

- The Hackers ran from a swamp with piggs where a woman told them to quick. They were in the middle of a yard filled with startledchickens and geese. A troubled farmer threw open the door of his hut to investigate what was causing all the commotion and shout "thieves". So the soldiers trap them.

- Charlie was going to be punished by Romans for treason when Tilda said they needed to give him a chance to defend himself. They refused so she asked if she showed the soldier was actually an idiot they could go away. She used an old playground trick about fingers to prove it.

- The Roman soldiers did not let the siblings go freely. They needed to serve as slaves for Emperor Septimus in that night's banquet. They were taken to the fortress where they told the slave master it was all a mistake. The slave master threw them on a steep flight of stone stairs leading somewhere dark. Charlie felt guilty about being there.

- The siblings understood being a slave for Emperor Septimus was not that fun. They both were taken to the caldarium, a place where they bathed people and took their sweat off to important humans such as princesses or lords. Charlie confused about the bucket and instead of taking the one of clean water he took the one with putrid sweat and he was going to be punished for it.

- Charlie was sent to the Emperor's Banquet doing vomit duty, which meant to pick the pukes of guts up the most important people Eboracum (the ancient name for York) threw. This meant respect for the Emperor. Charlie thought it was nasty, he needed to take this vomit buckets.
