- We decided to do a case-control study which is a quantitative study method. We looked at the cases of children with measles and then at the controls, which are the children without measles. We confirmed that this is indeed a measles outbreak via blood testing with NHLS and then reporting to NICD.

- We were also able to establish that the infection spread via the children using the local transportation as they transport many children to different schools.

It is important to tellpeople to stay calm and consult with a medical professional if they or their children become ill. We will also tell them about the vaccination campaign that will be launched at all the schools in the community.
