Hi! I'm an Carbon Dioxide atom and i'm going to be guiding you though Cellular Respiration and Photosynthesis
The chemical equation for Cellular Respiration is C6H12O6 + 6O2 → 6CO2 + 6H20 + Energy (ATP) which is simply the Photosynthesis formula backwards showing that they have a relationship between each other recycling the other cycle's products.
So first we have to enter the plant to continue.
All Occurrences of Cell Respiration and Photosynthesis happen in the chloroplast
After photosynthesis the energy and everything else is converted to what we call products which are Oxygen and Glucose which are used in a cycle to perform Cellular Respiration.
The surrounding energy is sunlight in the chloroplasts collected for photosynthesis. Photosynthesis consists of two phases, Calvin Cycle & Light Dependent reactions
The Light Dependent reactions are in charge of capturing light energy water and electrons which pass through the Electron Transport Chain to create ATP (energy) and NADPH. Separating atoms so we can reform later on.
Since we have all been separated we are going to reform into the chemical equation 6CO2 + 6H20 + Sun’s Energy 🡪 C6H12O6 + 6O2 .To form Glucose and 6 Oxygen molecules to ready for Cellular Respiration. The Glucose and Oxygen will then be recycled to help out another life form perform Cellular Respiration.
Speaking of we're about to prepare to continue the cycle of cellular respiration and photosynthesis!
*nom nom
Now that we are inside of the mitochondria of the animal we can perform Cellular Respiration, which recycles the glucose into energy the consumer needs. Which is the main link between Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration
The mitochondria consists of folds called cristae, enveloped by Outer Membrane filled with liquid known as matrix this cell is extremely important to Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration as it is the powerhouse which creates most energy.
Cellular Respiration consists of two phases named Krebs Cycle and Electron Transport Chain. Krebs Cycle takes glucose and turns it into Energy Carriers and Citric Acid which then is turned into Carbon Dioxide and Water (which is then used to perform photosynthesis)
The second phase Electron Transport Chain occurs in the Cristae and uses the energy carriers + oxygen to create ATP (Energy) for another cycle of photosynthesis. (36 ATP is created)
Both Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration help each other out and are related by being in the same cycle to create energy, carbon dioxide, water, glucose and oxygen which both of them recycle to help out animals and other plants. This was the tour of Cellular Respiration and Photosynthesis and how us cells work. Thanks for coming, Hope you enjoyed!
