- and because of that, I discovered the Uranium’s radioactive capabilities
- I isolated an oxide of uranium while examining pitchblende samples from the Joachimsthal silver mines.
- Hi! I am Emilio Segrè fast forward to 1937, I synthesized technetium in Italy.
- I looked at molybdenum from California that had been subjected to high-energy radiation and discovered and separated technetium
- 3 years later, in 1940, we are the Berkeley physicists that created element 93, the very first heavier element than uranium.
- Neptunium was the name we gave to it. Plutonium, element 94, was next in line. Between 1940 and 1961, we synthesized elements 95 to 103.
- We, American scientists should take 104 and 106 elements!
- Throughout 1966 and 1974, Soviet and American scientists argued over who got credit for elements 104 and 106.
- Why do us Russians only received the 105th element?!
