  • home sweet home
  • Tonight for dinner is bone marrow and a bit of greens.
  • Thank you Crane-Man. (slurp, gulp naw)
  • Stupidity Happened
  • Stupid Fish!
  • CRACK!
  • Clothes Never Worn
  • Thank You honorable potters wife.
  • Here tree-ear stay warm.
  • Tree-ear is an orphan his parents died of fever so he went to ch´ulp´o to live with his uncle but his uncle did not live in ch'ulp'o any more so he went to live with the monks but the monetary was full of sickness so he went to live with crane-man under a bridge and when the monks came back for Tree-ear did not want to go.

  • Oh that is why min wife is happy i´m his helper.
  • Poor min the finest work but so slow.
  • Tree-ear and Crane-man are poor so they can not afford food so they scavenge trash piles. Since high tide rolled in there were fish just setting on the beach and crane-man is always there to get the first fish but today crane-man had not gotten any and he got angry so he hit a rock with his cane  and it snapped when tree-ear got home  he asked what happened and crane-man said, ¨Stupidity happened¨ and told him the story.

  • Here Crane-man something to remind you of your promise to go to mins house.
  • Thank you Tree-ear
  •  Usually the monks from the monastery bring warm cloths for people who need it but this time they  didn´t so mins wife had given tree-ear some warm clothes so he was not cold. Then tree-ear gave one of the two to crane-man so he was not cold.

  • Land ho!
  • While tree ear was working he over heard some people talking about how slow min was at working. Tree-ear realized that he was old and definitely needed someone to help him with things.
  • Tree-ear gave Crane-man a clay monkey. Then Crane-man told Tree-ear ¨I have no gift for you beyond words  I would tell you this of all the problems you will meet on your journey, it will be people who are the greatest danger. But it will also be people you turn to if you are ever in need of aid. Remember this my friend and you will travel well.¨
  • Now that min has the Commission tree-ear rides home to tell him. As tree-ear gets close to the island the minutes stretch in to hours and the hours seem like days.
