- Exposition
- My name is squeaky and I may not have to do much at the house but I mind my brother Raymond.
- Inciting Incident
- I like to practice on my running to make sure I stay the best. Nobody has ever beat me.
- rising action
- You got anything to say to my brother, you say it to me, Mary Louise
- What grade are you in now Raymond?
- You're not going to win this time!
- I'm Squeaky and I live here in New York City. My brother Raymond is older than me but since he has hydrocephalus I watch him.
- Climax
- You need to win this Squeaky!!
- I have to take Raymond along my runs and at times he can get tricky to handle. Today he was running around and playing with the pigeons annoying the elderly. When something like this happens I must do my breathing exercises.
- Falling Action
- I have won again!
- I went to take Raymond to the park to have a calm day... but then Gretchen and her friend came and talked such horrible words to us.
- Resolution
- She's good no doubt about it... I wonder if she'd like to help me coach Raymond.
- The race is beginning and Squeaky is telling herself whats best in order for her to win. Raymond started running besides squeaky at his own unique way and pace.
- and the winner of the race is...Mary Louise Once again!! Squeaky was so happy that Raymond was running without caring what anyone thought.
- At the end of the race, Squeaky started maturing and thinking about others. Squeaky and Gretchen exchange real smiles. Squeaky also starts to think about what she wants to pursue to help her brother. the lesson learned from this short story is that its important to accept others for who they truly are.
- This is as real as a smile from us girls can get!
