- France had an economic crisis, the French was deep in debt. The upper class kept using the money for unimportant things. The majority of the population couldn't afford bread.

- Many people stormed Bastille. The third estate stormed the National Convention and took the tennis courts. The king and queen were also executed.

- The king and queen were overthrown. Political power was taken away from the Catholic church. Napoleon also became the dictator.

- Yay! No more king or queen!

- The motive of this revolution was because the French colonist enslaved many of the Haitians. They also treated them poorly and would give harsh punishments.

- Hurry. We need to ship the sugar tonight.

- Toussaint L'Ouverture was the leader for this revolution. France, Britain, and Spain sent their armies to Haiti to stop the Haitians

- After the revolution, slavery ended and Haiti became a independent country. Toussaint L'Ouverture passed away after being arrested by Napoleon's army
