Setting: In this story the setting is a small town that is near a forest and there are many fields. For example, the cats talk about Twoleg Nests and monsters. The Twolegs are people and the monsters are cars. Cloudpaw gets stolen by people and the cats talk about how he got too close to the Twolegs. There are also prey for the cats, such as mice, rabbits and squirrels and pigeons that live in the field and woods. All the cats were born in the forests except for Fireheart and Cloudpaw. When they were kits they lived with Twolegs, until they wondered off into the wild.
Character vs. self conflict: Fireheart the Thunderclan deputy, was born as a pet. This has affected his life in the clan because when he first joined the clan, his clan members just thought of him of some inexperienced pet that wasn’t ready for clan life. And Fireheart was always teased because of his “kittypet roots” but that didn’t stop him from becoming a great warrior and eventually the clan leader.
Protagonist: Fireheart is clever. ““You were a fast learner. I chose well when I invited you into my Clan.” Bluestar murmured.”” pg 59 . I agree with this because Fireheart has a clever instinct. When TigerClaw was Clan Deputy, Fireheart saw that something was wrong, and no matter how much people yelled at him he still believed something was wrong. evidence from his friends to prove that TigerClaw as evil. One of these friends was Ravenpaw, who was a witness of TigerClaw’s killing of the old clan deputy, Redtail. Also, Fireheart tried to tell Bluestar, the Clan Leader, that TigerClaw is bad but she wouldn’t believe him. In the end, TigerClaw betrayed the entire Clan and tried to kill Bluestar. Fireheart knew all along which is why I think he is clever.
