Hello I'm Travis and I'm going to teach you how you digest food
Hi I'm a nice big watermelon I'm about to show you how I get digested
First, food goes to the mouth where your food gets chewed and the saliva lubricates the food so that it goes down the throat easier
This is the liver where bile is created. The gallbladder is where the bile is stored
Next, the esophagus where your food travels to get to the stomach.
Then onto the stomach where food is churned and chyme is created. Chyme is also created in the intestine
After that, the intestine has the bile go through peristalsis which moves the digested food. This is an example of mechanical digestion
Then, I go out through the rectum and end up in the toilet!
