Beowulf and Grendel
Storyboard Text
- Beowulf is a strong man who has come from Gretand to try an defeat the monster Grendel. No other soldier has been successful. Grendel is very confused because he has been killing and eating these soldiers every night for years. He doesn't understand why there is someone who is ready to fight him. Hrothgar and his men are ready for Beowulf to defeat Grendel the monster.
- Beowulf begins to fight Grendel without any weapons. He uses his strength and bravery and he wounds Grendel. Grendel goes back to his lair to die. Hrothgar and the other Danes are excited because they believe it is finally over.He decides to follow Grendel to his lair as Grendel goes toward the swamp wounded.
- Beowulf and the Danes don't know that Grendel has a mom who is ready to fight for her young. She decides to fight Beowulf herself.
- Beowulf decides that he must defeat the mother of Grendel too. He fights hard but she doesn't give up. He finally decides he must get a sword that is hanging on the wall to kill her. The sword is so big that a normal man would not be able to lift it. Meanwhile, the Danes believe Beowulf is dead because he hasn't returned. Beowulf defeats Grendel's mother and brings back her head to show the Danes.

- Beowulf returned home to Geatland and became king of the Geats.
- A dragon's barrow was was taken and the dragon came for revenge at Beowulf.
- Beowulf gives all that he has but with the dragon is not giving up.
- Beowulf is helped by Wiglaf a young, and far off cousin of his father. Wiglaf helps Beowulf defeat the dragon but later dies due to being bitten in the neck.
